Introduction

At ThinkAd, we prioritize human actions, believing that if you personally want to make changes to your advertising through the Amazon Ad Console, we respect those decisions and will not override them.

Overridden Changes

However, there are some exceptions where we will override any modifications you make. These exceptions are listed below:

  • Changing bids on targets (keyword and product)

  • Changing placement multipliers to adjust bids by each placement type (TOS, ROS, and Product Pages), if you have activated this feature

  • Removing negatives from Ad Groups If they aren't marked as White Listed.

Honoured Changes

Here is a list of changes that our ad engine will not override, allowing them to be successfully applied if you make the adjustments in the Amazon Ad Console:

  • Pausing/unpausing campaigns

  • Changing campaign names

🚨 Note: Changing the campaign name will not change the Ad Group goals but will change the campaign names within the campaigns tab.

  • Pausing/unpausing targets (keyword and product)

  • Archiving targets (keyword and product)

  • Changing campaign daily budgets

    • For more information on Amazon daily budgets, view this article.

  • Adding negative matches in Ad groups

  • Pausing, unpausing, archiving ads (advertised ASINs) within Sponsored Product campaigns

  • Adding or removing ASINs from your campaigns/ad groups

  • Adding targets into your campaigns (keyword, product, and category)

  • Adding campaign-level negative matches

  • Changing ad creatives for Sponsored Brands, Sponsored Display campaigns (headline, ASINs and/or logo)

  • Adding an End Date

🚨Note: this is not recommended, as the goals may still appear as running in the ThinkAd Platform while not running in the Ad Console. We suggest pausing campaigns and removing all goals directly in the ThinkAd Platform instead.
