Steps to Optimize Your Amazon Campaign Using ThinkAd
Optimizing your Amazon campaigns is crucial for achieving the best results and ensuring your ads reach the right audience at the right cost. Follow these steps to set up and optimize your campaign using the ThinkAd platform.
Step 1: Log in to Your ThinkAd Account
Begin by logging into your ThinkAd account. Make sure you have access to the campaign you wish to optimize.
Step 2: Navigate to Ads Manager
Once logged in, select Ads Manager from the main menu. This is where you’ll manage and optimize your Amazon campaigns.
Step 3: Select the Campaign to Optimize
In the Campaigns tab, find the specific campaign you want to optimize. Click on the campaign name to open it and access the ad groups settings.
Step 4: Adjust Platform Settings
Within the Platform settings, locate the fields for Min Bid, Max Bid, and ACoS Target. Here’s how to set each parameter:
Max Bid: Set the maximum bid you are willing to allow. Our software will not increase bids beyond this value during optimization, ensuring that your ad spend remains controlled.
Min Bid: Set the minimum bid you want to maintain. During optimization, our software will ensure bids do not drop below this value, helping to maintain competitiveness.
ACoS Target: Set a realistic ACoS (Advertising Cost of Sales) target for the ad group. This target reflects your goal for the ACoS, but it must be realistic based on current performance. For example, if an ad group currently operates at a 100% ACoS, setting a target of 10% might not be achievable and could lead to the software turning off the target due to poor performance.
🚨 Note: Changing your ACoS target with a significant difference too frequently can destabilize Amazon's AI. For example, if your current ACoS is 100% and you change it to 60% one day, then 90% the next, this can confuse Amazon’s machine learning algorithms. To achieve your advertising goals effectively, it’s important to adjust your ACoS target gradually. This approach allows the software to optimize your targets effectively, leading to more stable and predictable ad performance.
Step 5: Configure Optimization Settings
Next, go to the Settings section to define what you allow our AI software to manage within this ad group. You can choose to set the optimization mode to Auto, allowing our system to handle the adjustments for you. Rest assured, our software is capable of recognizing the type of campaign(whether it’s broad or exact match) and automatically applies the appropriate optimization strategy for each ad group in the campaign. This means you can confidently set all ad groups to Auto mode without worrying that we won’t understand the specific needs of each campaign.
