Introduction

We offer the WhiteList feature to give you greater control over your campaign’s keyword strategy, ensuring that critical keywords are always included in your ad targeting while continuing to optimize and exclude any non-performing terms that are just wasting your budget. This feature helps maintain a focus on high-value keywords, ensuring that your ad spend is used effectively.



How Does It Work?

  1. Protection of Important Keywords:
    The WhiteList feature allows you to specify certain keywords that should never be added as negatives. This ensures that these key terms remain active in your campaigns, preventing them from being inadvertently excluded by automated processes.

  2. Enhanced Campaign Control:
    By using the WhiteList, you maintain control over your ad targeting, ensuring that high-value or essential keywords are continuously optimized and included in your campaigns. This helps you avoid missing out on potential opportunities due to the automated exclusion of relevant terms.

  3. Streamlined Management:
    The WhiteList feature is particularly useful in campaigns with broad, phrase, or expanded product matches, where a wide range of search terms can be captured. By safeguarding important keywords, the Whitelist complements our optimization tools, allowing you to focus on refining your strategy without worrying about losing key terms.

  4. Flexible Application:
    The WhiteList is designed to be flexible, enabling you to update or adjust the list of protected keywords as your campaign evolves. This adaptability ensures that your campaigns remain aligned with your goals and market trends.

How to Add a Word to the Whitelist?

  1. Navigate to the Search Terms Tab:

    • Go to the Search Terms tab under the Ad Group level within your ThinkAd account.

  2. Select the Word:

    • Click on the word you want to take action on. This will bring up a functional menu.

  3. Add to Whitelist:

    • From the functional menu that appears, select Add as WhiteList. The selected word will now be added to the Whitelist.

  4. Identify Whitelisted Words:

    • Once a word is added to the Whitelist, it will be highlighted in Green to help you easily identify and review all whitelisted terms.

How to Remove a Word from the Whitelist?

  1. Navigate to the Search Terms Tab:

    • Go to the Search Terms tab under the Ad Group level within your ThinkAd account.

  2. Select the Word:

    • Click on the word you want to take action on. This will bring up a functional menu.

  3. Remove from WhiteList:

    • From the functional menu that appears, select Remove from WhiteList. The selected word will now be removed from the Whitelist.

🚨To filter and display only search terms containing whitelisted words, create the filter Search Terms > Has > Any Whitelisted. This will streamline your view to focus on protected keywords.

By following these steps, you can efficiently manage and protect important keywords within your campaigns, ensuring they remain active and optimized.
