Introduction

ThinkAd can automatically add negative keywords to your campaigns to optimize your ad performance. When this feature is enabled, ThinkAd's algorithm continuously analyzes search term data to identify terms that are not driving valuable traffic, causing wasted ad spend, or negatively impacting your campaign's efficiency. By automatically adding these terms as negative keywords, ThinkAd helps prevent your ads from showing on irrelevant searches and reduces wasted ad spend, thereby improving overall campaign performance. This automation ensures that your campaigns are always optimized without requiring constant manual intervention.

🚨 Note: We will optimize search terms only for Ad Groups that include broad, phrase, or expanded product matches, even if the feature is turned ON for campaigns with exact match.

Recommendations on How to Manage Negative Matches

In the Negatives tab, you can view all negative keywords that our AI has added to your Ad Groups. You can easily remove these keywords directly from this tab, and the changes will be immediately reflected on Amazon.

However, we recommend primarily using the Search Terms tab for managing negatives, as it provides a more interactive and visual approach to understanding what has been added as a negative keyword and determining if it fits your strategy.

In addition to the Negatives tab, there is a Search Terms tab, where negative keywords are highlighted in red for easy identification. This visual cue helps you quickly understand which keywords have been marked as negative and assess their impact on your campaigns.

We also provide a filter, Search Term > Has > Negative Match, allowing you to display only the search terms that include negative keywords. This makes it easier to focus on refining these specific terms.

❓ But what if you want to prevent certain keywords from being added as negatives?

You can simply turn off the "Irrelevant Words" and "Wanted Spend" features to prevent unwanted negative keywords from being added. However, we offer an additional safeguard to ensure your campaign continues to optimize effectively while avoiding the inclusion of incorrect negative words: the WhiteList feature.

This feature allows you to designate specific words that our system should not block, ensuring that you retain full control over which keywords are critical to your campaigns.
