Introduction

To enhance security for sellers, Amazon introduced a program called Developer Access Confirmation, which requires sellers to re-confirm access to developers like ThinkAd every 12 months. This process is known as re-authentication of the SP-API.

If access is not confirmed, you may notice a disconnection notice at the bottom of your ThinkAd screen, as the SP-API will automatically disconnect when access is not re-confirmed.

What Happens to My Goals

A disconnected SP-API will not impact your Goals, as your ads will continue to deliver as long as the AAA (Amazon Advertising API) remains connected.

As a reminder, when setting up your account, you connected both the AAA and SP-API:

  • AAA (Amazon Advertising API):
Provides access to advertising data and allows ThinkAd to optimize your campaigns (e.g., launching and managing campaigns).

  • SP-API (Selling Partner API):
Provides total sales, inventory, ASIN, and product data (e.g., new ASINs, inventory levels).

How To Reconnect

While the SP-API connection is not required to keep your campaigns running, we do need it to ensure that data is populated correctly into ThinkAd. You can resolve this issue by clicking the "Reconnect Selling Partner API" button. ⬇️
